MARYLAND Chapter Officers Take Oath of Office in Ceremony

Laoag City, Ilocos Norte – 31 March 2025 – The newly elected officers of the MARYLAND Chapter officially took their Oath of Office today in a ceremony that underscored their commitment to service and leadership within the organization. The taking of the oath was presided over by Region 1 (ILOCOS REGION) Executive Council President and Chairman Bernardino “FRMG BERNZ” Rodillas, alongside Regional Founders’ Council Director Ret. MSgt. Noel “FGGF SCORPIO VI” Rabang and eight municipal chapter officers.

The event, held at Barangay MADILADIG Covered Court in Laoag City, gathered members of the MARYLAND Chapter and other guests to witness this significant milestone under the umbrella of PAMULINAWEN Chapter (Provincial Chapter). The atmosphere was filled with excitement and a profound sense of responsibility as the officers pledged to uphold the values and mission of their chapter.

In his opening remarks, Chairman FRMG BERNZ emphasized the importance of leadership and the role that these newly sworn-in officers will play in advancing the organization’s goals in the region. “Today, you embark on a journey of service. Lead with integrity and ensure that your actions reflect the ideals of our founders,” he encouraged.

The oath-taking ceremony included the swearing-in of officers who represent various positions within the chapter, including Chapter President, Vice President, Secretary, and other key roles. Each officer expressed their gratitude for the trust placed in them and their commitment to fostering collaboration and community spirit among members and localities.

Director FGGF SCORPIO shared his insights on the significance of the event, stating, “This chapter embodies the spirit of unity and dedication that our organization stands for. You are not only leaders but also role models for your peers and the community.”

The ceremony also provided an opportunity for the eight municipal chapter officers present to introduce themselves and reaffirm their dedication to supporting the PAMULINAWEN Chapter’s initiatives. Their participation highlighted the collaborative effort among various chapters within Region 1 to create a strong network of support and engagement.

Ex-Mayor Bro Marlon “FRMG MAR” Sales also addressed the audience, sharing valuable insights from his years of experience in public service. He inspired the officers to remain dedicated to their community and emphasized the vital role that local leaders play in fostering positive change. “As you take on these responsibilities, remember that your actions can inspire others. Be the leaders your community needs,” he stated.

As the ceremony concluded, the newly inducted officers received words of encouragement from their peers, reinforcing the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving the goals set forth by the chapter.
