Arnel “FRMG NEL” Forcado Dela Austria was born and raised in the vibrant region of Luzon, Philippines. His passion for education and public service blossomed early in life, setting the foundation for a career dedicated to empowering others through knowledge. FRMG NEL pursued higher education diligently, obtaining a Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Science, while currently nearing the completion of his Doctoral Studies in Educational Management, with only one subject remaining. This commitment to academic excellence showcases his dedication to continuous learning and improvement—a hallmark of his professional journey.

Career in Education

With over 32 years of unwavering service in government education, Arnel “FRMG NEL” Dela Austria has established himself as a pillar of the academic community. As a distinguished Champion Coach in Mathematics III and IV under the Department of Education (DepEd), he has inspired countless students to excel in mathematics, honing their analytical skills and fostering a love for learning.

At Romblon State University (RSU), he has held several esteemed positions that reflect his leadership and commitment to educational excellence. As the Chairperson of the Bachelor in Secondary Education program within the College of Education, he has played an instrumental role in shaping the curriculum and guiding future educators. His dedication to student success is also exemplified in his role as the Principal of the RSU Science Laboratory High School, where he implemented innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience of his students. Dela Austria’s academic contributions have also earned him the rank of Associate Professor V, specializing in teaching Mathematics.

Public Service and Leadership in PGBI

Throughout his career, FRMG NEL has demonstrated a profound commitment to community service and organizational leadership. He became an integral member of the Philippine Gawad Para sa Bansa, Inc. (PGBI) organization on August 29, 2009. His leadership qualities and dedication led him to serve multiple terms as the President of the Tablas Chapter, where he effectively mobilized resources and organized initiatives to support local communities.

Dela Austria’s influence expanded as he took on the role of Regional Secretary for Region IV-B, where he was responsible for coordinating efforts to enhance the PGBI’s mission across various chapters. His insightful leadership qualities were further recognized when he was appointed as the Adviser of the KAWAL Chapter, guiding fellow members toward achieving their goals.

Recognizing his exceptional leadership skills and deep understanding of the organization’s objectives, he was subsequently appointed as the Assistant Secretary General for Luzon Islands in addition to his present tasks. In this capacity, he has been instrumental in formulating strategies and programs that address the unique challenges faced by chapters in Luzon, thus elevating the organization’s impact.
